EXPERIENCE

 

·         Currently (from 2008) I am Postdoctoral Research Associate at UIC (LPPD) in the Bioengineering department working on a research project about soft tissue deformation during drug delivery, including micro fluid mechanics and computations, and experimental stress-strain fields visualization.

·         Also, I am working with DTI and MRI data for brain geometry reconstruction with embedded diffusivity and hydraulic conductivity tensors in the computational meshes for fluent simulations. I have designed a novel computational algorithm for optimal catheter placement and backflow-free catheters for intracranial infusion. I am certified to work with the human and animal protocols.


·      After PhD completion, Research Assistant at Department of Mechanical Engineering  (University of Alabama, summer 2008 ) under guidance of Ajay K. Agrawal , Professor and Robert F. Barfield Endowed Chair:

-Fuel/gas mix flow visualization and particle size measurements, PDPA/LDV system setup   in combustion lab.

-Improvement of Rainbow Schlieren Deflectomrtry system, RSD, development of the LED light source.

-Development new numerical Algorithms for flow field investigation, based on density data.

·         Research assistant at Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics Department (University of  Alabama 2004-2008):

-Working experience with continuous gas and impulse solid body Nd-YAG lasers, and laser techniques for gas flow investigation such as PIV, LIBS and LDV.

-Hands-on experience in on table optic alignment and development miniature optic probes, fiber optics and fiber optics terminators, CCD camera and photomultipliers.

-Working experience with strain gauges (hands-on experience in strain gages application and measurements) and data acquisition, good soldering skills.

-Flow visualization and investigation with RSD system.

-Computational analysis and software development for steady/unsteady flow simulation;

-Working experience with supersonic wind tunnel and supersonic free jet facilities.

-Hands-on working experience with pressured air facilities and compressors.

-AutoCAD experience in 3D design of optical equipments and supersonic nozzles.

-Fracture analysis and FEA  experience.

-Proposal and patent writing.

  • One semester at UIC teaching and two summer semesters 2006 and 2007 Teaching assistant at the University of Alabama.
  • Four years hands-on experience as a Technical Consultant in electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic field measurements
  • Three years hands on experience in the adaptive optic laser system include electronic circuits.
